Sculptra near Fort Lauderdale, FL

For patients who desire a long-term non-surgical result for visible lines and wrinkles on the face or a loss of facial volume, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David J. Levens offers treatments of Sculptra® Aesthetic to the residents of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County at his Coral Springs practice. By restoring facial volume with Sculptra®, Dr. Levens can help you look younger, healthier and more vibrant.

What is Sculptra®?

This injectable treatment does not provide the quick fix that other dermal fillers may offer but instead gives patients a more lasting reduction in wrinkles than some treatments may boast. Sculptra® Aesthetic actually works with your body’s own components to promote the production of collagen. Natural collagen in your skin helps it to look smooth and taut—key traits of youthful skin.

Benefits of Sculptra®

Men and women who choose Sculptra® for their cosmetic treatments prefer to have:

  • Gradual anti-aging improvements
  • No downtime
  • Long-lasting results
  • Minimally-invasive treatments

Good Candidates for Sculptra® Aesthetic

Patients who will be satisfied with the gradual results Sculptra® achieves should ask Dr. Levens about the treatment. It may be ideal for younger patients who have begun to experience a loss of facial volume and want to head off the earliest signs of aging such as:

  • Sunken cheeks or temples.
  • Wrinkles on the lower face or chin.
  • Marionette lines.
  • Nasolabial folds.

If you undergo treatments of Sculptra®, Dr. Levens will ensure you do not have an infection at the treatment site and that you will not have an adverse reaction to the solution’s components. In your consultation with Dr. Levens, he will craft a treatment plan that targets your unique cosmetic needs.

What Happens During Sculptra® Aesthetic Treatment?

Before beginning your treatment of Sculptra®, your skin will be cleansed at the treatment site. Using a special technique like crosshatching, Dr. Levens will inject a conservative amount of Sculptra® beneath the surface of your skin. He will use a limited amount at first since volume will develop over time. Due to this delayed volumization of the treatment sites, you may actually undergo three treatment sessions. These sessions, which will take place no less than four weeks apart, will ensure the ideal aesthetic result.

When you leave Dr. Levens’ practice following your treatment of Sculptra®, you will be given aftercare instructions. You may need to limit your activity for a day or so following treatment. Dr. Levens may also ask you to gently massage the treatment site, which will ensure an even placement of the product as it begins to work on your skin.

Again, the results of your Sculptra® treatment may not be immediately evident and will begin to work over time. In some cases, it can take up to one year for the full effects of Sculptra® to be seen. However, the volumizing effects of the treatment can last up to two years for some patients, much longer than with some other popular injectables.

How Much Does Sculptra® Cost?

The cost of treatment with Sculptra® is based upon an individual treatment plan that Dr. Levens develops during your consultation.  After the appointment, we provide you with a total cost and explain our payment options, including cash, personal check, Visa®, MasterCard® and American Express®.  If you are interested in financing your Sculptra® treatments, our patient coordinators will explain how to apply for CareCredit®, Alphaeon Credit, or Prosper® Healthcare Lending.
