TriLux

Light-based therapies for correcting common skin issues are highly popular, both for the results they achieve and for the minimal downtime required post-treatment. At our Coral Springs office, we offer the TriLux photofacial system to give your skin a much-needed overhaul.
This light-based system works with the outer and deeper layers of your skin to achieve a rejuvenating effect. By penetrating deep into your skin, the light is able to diminish previous skin problems and also work to renew your skin, helping it to generate newer, clearer skin cells.
Good Candidates for TriLux in Coral Springs
TriLux treatments work well on treating a variety of common skin issues prevalent today. Dr. Levens most frequently applies TriLux photofacial treatments to the face, but has seen it also work well for treating the skin on the neck, chest and hands. Most commonly, Dr. Levens uses TriLux to treat:
- sun damage
- rosacea
- lines and wrinkles
- visible veins
- acne scarring
- loose skin
When you visit Dr. Levens for your consultation, he will ask you about your current skin condition and the goals you have for the health and appearance of your skin. Based on your unique needs, he will determine an appropriate treatment plan for you.
What Happens During TriLux Treatment?
Before undergoing your TriLux photofacial treatment, the skin at the treatment site will be carefully cleansed. As you are treated, a handpiece will be gently pulled across the surface of your skin. This handpiece will deliver the focused beams of light that will target your skin issues. The pigment and damaged skin cells will be targeted by the light and will be cleared away. This promotes the natural healing process of your skin.
After TriLux
Following your treatment, you will be given aftercare instructions to follow over the next few days. You will be asked to avoid sun exposure. You should also apply an SPF whenever you are outside as your skin will be more sensitive and will require extra protection. Any redness you experience after your TriLux photofacial will be temporary.
As your skin begins to clear out the damaged skin cells and pigmentation issues, the skin at the treatment site will appear more refreshed. You should witness a marked decrease in signs of sun damage. Your skin will appear healthier, younger and have a more even tone.
