Juvederm near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Juvederm® contains hyaluronic acid (HA), one of your body’s natural defenses against aging. HA keeps skin soft and smooth by attracting and binding with water. The increased hydration “fills in” lines and wrinkles, helping men and women in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County soften lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth.

Treatments with Juvederm® can minimize lines and wrinkles, to helping you appear younger and more rested.

Juvederm® is composed of hyaluronic acid, which your skin also contains. Hyaluronic acid delivers necessary hydration to your skin, providing youthful volume. When injected into deep lines, Juvederm® acts as a sort of scaffolding for the depressed skin, giving it support and smoothing its appearance.

How Much Does Juvederm® Cost?

The cost of Juvederm® treatments is based upon an individual treatment plan that Dr. Levens develops during your consultation.  After the appointment, we provide you with a total cost and explain our payment options, including cash, personal check, Visa®, MasterCard® and American Express®.  If you are interested in financing your treatments with Juvederm®, our patient coordinators will explain how to apply for CareCredit®, Alphaeon Credit, or Prosper® Healthcare Lending.

Benefits of Juvederm®

Juvederm® is a non-surgical, minimally-invasive treatment that addresses lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth.  The treatment:

  • Takes 60 minutes or less.
  • Produces immediate results.
  • Maintains a natural appearance.
  • Require no downtime and side effects are minimal and rare.

Good Candidates for Juvederm®

Juvederm® mimics the hyaluronic acid in your own skin and can be used to treat patients over the age of 18 and those of many different skin types. In Coral Springs, Dr. Levens uses Juvederm injectable gel for treating:

  • Moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
  • Marionette lines.
  • Facial contouring and lip augmentation.
  • Nasolabial folds.

When you meet with Dr. Levens for your consultation, you will be able to discuss your unique needs and aesthetic goals. Based on this and his own expertise, Dr. Levens will carefully plan your Juvederm® treatments to help you get a maximum reduction in visible wrinkles.

What Happens During Juvederm® Treatment?

When you come in for your treatment of Juvederm®, the appointment itself should be quite short. As Juvederm® contains lidocaine, you should not need an additional anesthetic. Using special techniques that evenly distribute the product, Dr. Levens will carefully inject specific amounts of Juvederm® beneath the surface of your skin. At the treatment sites, Dr. Levens may also apply a gentle hand massage. This helps him ensure the product is evenly placed for an ultimate smoothing effect. Juvederm® works immediately on your skin, and you will be able to see a reduction in wrinkles right away.

Following your treatment, the skin at the treatment site may feel taut, and you may experience some redness or swelling. The application of an ice pack should minimize these side effects, which are usually short-lived.

The wrinkle-smoothing effects of your Juvederm® treatment can last up to one year, at which point the product will be naturally reabsorbed by your body. As the Juvederm® begins to break down during this time, you will likely wish to return to Dr. Levens for touch-up treatments to maintain the look. During these maintenance visits, a lesser amount of Juvederm® is usually necessary to keep up the look.
