Six months after surgery, you're looking at the result of a dual-plane breast augmentation performed on a 31-year-old Hispanic woman, 130 lbs, who wore a D cup pre-operatively. Mentor cohesive gel implants were placed submuscularly through inframammary incisions. The dual-plane technique positions the upper portion of the implant beneath the pectoralis muscle while allowing the lower pole to sit directly behind the breast tissue, which gives the surgeon more control over how the implant interacts with the existing breast.
