Dr. Levens has been helping people do just that since 1989. Considered one of South Florida’s leading cosmetic surgeons, he has served as both Chief of Surgery (1999-2001) and Vice Chief of Staff (2003-2005) at the Coral Springs Medical Center. Over the years, he has been named a “Top Doc” several times in Castle Connolly’s national ratings, including most recently in 2012, 2011 and 2010. Locally, he was voted “Best Cosmetic Surgeon” three times by the readers of the Coral Springs/Parkland Forum and, in Fall 2011, was the only Coral Springs Plastic surgeon to be recognized as “Super Doctor” by the Sun Sentinel’s City & Shore Magazine.
Dr. Levens has participated in six annual reconstructive surgical missions (2006-2011) to Ecuador to care for needy children born with cleft lip and palate and various other birth defects and deformities.
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1992, Dr. Levens is frequently quoted in the media and was selected as a Contributing Expert for the 2007 plastic surgery reference book, “Be Your Best.”
Because he believes an informed patient is one of the most important factors for a successful cosmetic surgery experience, Dr. Levens regularly posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. He hosts complimentary update seminars twice yearly, posts detailed answers to cosmetic surgery questions on RealSelf.com, writes a monthly column for Parkland Life Magazine and makes frequent entries in his blog on this website.
