Vi Peel near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Many factors can cause your skin to display age spots, blemishes, and uneven tone if you live in Fort Lauderdale or Broward County. That’s why board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David J. Levens offers the Vi Peel® at his Coral Springs practice. This treatment works to improve the overall health and beauty of your skin, delivering long-lasting results.

What is the Vi Peel®?

The Vi Peel® is a topical treatment that can be applied in your plastic surgeon’s office to your face, neck, chest and hands. Working over a short period of time, the solution penetrates the damaged outer layers of skin, removing them to reveal fresh, clear and cleaner looking skin.

How Much Does the Vi Peel® Cost?

The cost of a Vi Peel® is based upon an individual treatment plan that Dr. Levens develops during your consultation.  After the appointment, we provide you with a total cost and explain our payment options, including cash, personal check, Visa®, MasterCard® and American Express®.  If you are interested in financing your Vi Peel®, our patient coordinators will explain how to apply for CareCredit®, Alphaeon Credit, or Prosper® Healthcare Lending.

Benefits of the Vi Peel®

The Vi Peel is preferred by Dr. Levens because the treatment:

  • Addresses a range of cosmetic concerns.
  • Can be used on the face, hands, neck, and chest area.
  • Promotes natural skin health.

Good Candidates for a Vi Peel®

Patients who exhibit many common skin conditions are ideal candidates for the Vi Peel®. If you suffer from any of the following skin conditions, please ask Dr. Levens about your options for the Vi Peel®:

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Age spots
  • Acne and blemishes
  • Lax skin
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Some scarring

While many patients will see dramatic results after just one Vi Peel® treatment, those with more advanced issues like scarring may require multiple treatments over the course of a few months to fully appreciate the effects of the Vi Peel®. In your consultation at Dr. Levens’ office, you can discuss your skin needs and the appropriate number of treatments to meet your goals.

What Happens During a Vi Peel®?

Before your Vi Peel®, your skin will be cleansed at the treatment site. The Vi Peel® will cause a mild tingling sensation, but this will dissipate quickly as your skin adjusts. The peel solution will be spread evenly over your skin and will be left on the surface to work. After a short period of time, when the solution has penetrated your skin, it will be removed, and your skin will be cleansed.

After Your Vi Peel®

As you leave Dr. Levens’ practice, you will be given aftercare instructions. You will be asked to avoid prolonged and direct sun exposure for several days and to apply a daily SPF, which will help shield your now more sensitive skin. Over the course of the next two to four days, the outer, dead layers of skin at the treatment site will peel, and new skin will emerge. As this process takes place, your skin will visibly improve both in health and appearance.

The effects of your Vi Peel® are long-lasting as long as you maintain a healthy skin care regimen.
