What Happens During Sculptra Aesthetic Treatment?

Before beginning your treatment of Sculptra in South Florida, your skin will be cleansed at the treatment site. Using a special technique like crosshatching, Dr. Levens will inject a conservative amount of Sculptra beneath the surface of your skin. He will use a limited amount at first since volume will develop over time. Due to this delayed volumization of the treatment sites, you may actually undergo three treatment sessions. These sessions, which will take place no less than four weeks apart, will ensure the ideal aesthetic result.

When you leave Dr. Levens' practice following your treatment of Sculptra, you will be given aftercare instructions. You may need to limit your activity for a day or so following treatment. Dr. Levens may also ask you to gently massage the treatment site, which will ensure an even placement of the product as it begins to work in your skin.

Again, the results of your Sculptra treatment may not be immediately evident and will begin to work over time. In some cases, it can take up to one year for the full effects of Sculptra to be seen. However, the volumizing effects of the treatment can last up to two years for some patients, much longer than with some other popular injectables.
